The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Kutaisi (1-1) in Tbilisi on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by top-ranked Armia (1-0) 78-58. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-58. Armia outrebounded Kutaisi 44-32 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Lamayn Wilson (204-80, college: Troy) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86, agency: FCM) chipped in 6 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest.
