Very important is a home loss of second ranked ZKK Medvescak (2-1) against fifth ranked Gospic (2-1) on Saturday night. Host ZKK Medvescak was defeated by Gospic in Zagreb 80-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ZKK Medvescak. The game was mostly controlled by Gospic. ZKK Medvescak was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gospic forced 23 ZKK Medvescak turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for international Emanuela Salopek (178-87) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Slovenian guard Martina Dover (177-86) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Forward Iva Todoric (174-93) came up with 9 points and 10 rebounds and forward Nina Premasunac (186-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for ZKK Medvescak in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated ZKK Medvescak. Gospic will play against Tresnjevka (#4) in the next round. ZKK Medvescak will play against the league's second-placed Lupa Promotion in Novi Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
