Regular Season Round 4: Ikaros Kalitheas - AO Ellinikou 47-65

A1 top team - AO Ellinikou (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eighth ranked Ikaros Kalitheas (1-3) in Glyfada 65-47. The game was mostly controlled by AO Ellinikou. Ikaros Kalitheas was better in second period 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AO Ellinikou dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Ikaros Kalitheas' 24. The winners were led by the former international guard Tania Chalivera (178-85) who scored that evening 18 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and forward Dimitra Tsoukala (184-88) supported her with 8 points and 8 rebounds. AO Ellinikou will play against PAOK (#4) in Thessaloniki in the next round. Ikaros Kalitheas will play on the road against Aris (#5) in Thessaloniki to get more than just one victory in their record.
