The game in Tokyo was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Toyota B SR (4-5) played at the court of eighth ranked Niigata (4-5). Niigata managed to secure a 7-point victory 73-66 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toyota B SR. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 18-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Nana Kondo (177-88) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Yoshie Watanabe (162-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Niigata and five Toyota B SR players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Niigata. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Denso Iris and Toyota B SR. Niigata will face again Toyota B SR (#8) in Aichi in the next round.
