Regular Season Round 7: Kyoto Hannar. - Fukuoka Rizing 77-79

Bottom-ranked Kyoto Hannar. (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 79-77 loss to seventh ranked Fukuoka Rizing (3-3) in Kyoto on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 26-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) fired 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Top Notch Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Masaharu Kataoka (190-85) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Fukuoka Rizing. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Niigata Albirex and Shiga L-Stars. Kyoto Hannar. lost their fourth game in a row. They still closes the standings with six games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Takamatsu FA (#7) at home in the next round. Kyoto Hannar. will play against Shimane Magic and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
