The game in Aichi was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Niigata (4-6) played at the court of eighth ranked Toyota B SR (5-5). Toyota B SR managed to secure a 7-point victory 84-77 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Niigata. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-17. But Niigata won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toyota B SR looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Sakiko Nomachi (175-87) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. Four Toyota B SR players scored in double figures. Toyota B SR's coach Fumikazu Nakagawa used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and forward Inoue Ai (172-90) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Toyota B SR moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Toyota A. Loser Niigata keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Toyota B SR will face higher ranked Mitsubishi K. (#4) in Nagoya in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Niigata will play at home against the league's leader Fujitsu RW in Kawasaki.
