An interesting game for Toyota Alvark (7-1) which hosted in Fuchu 3rd ranked Aishin Sea Horses (5-3). First ranked Toyota Alvark had an easy win 90-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aishin Sea Horses. The game without a history. Toyota Alvark led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Toyota Alvark outrebounded Aishin Sea Horses 43-23 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. International guard Takeki Shonaka (180-84) fired 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Jeff Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Shuhei Kitagawa (185-85) produced 22 points and the former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-1 record. Aishin Sea Horses at the other side keep the third place with three games lost. Toyota Alvark's next round opponent will be Toshiba Thunders (#4) in Kanagawa. Aishin Sea Horses will play at home against Tochigi Brex.
