Undefeated leader Iwate Big Bulls recorded the eighth consecutive victory. This time they beat bottom-ranked Gunma (0-8) 105-89. The game without a history. Iwate Big Bulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.4 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Iwate Big Bulls especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 30 personal fouls committed by Gunma helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a quality performance for American center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Top Notch Sports) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Nigerian-American power forward Reggie Okosa (208-80, college: La Salle, agency: Top Notch Sports) accounted for 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Vincentian center Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Shingo Okada (186-83) added 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for Gunma in the defeat. Five Iwate Big Bulls and four Gunma players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Iwate Big Bulls. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Gunma lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with eight games lost. Iwate Big Bulls' next round opponent will be Toyama Grouses (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day.
