Regular Season Round 12: Chanson V-M - Mitsubishi K. 72-67

The most important game in the last round took place in Shizuoka between third ranked Mitsubishi K. (7-3) and fourth ranked Chanson V-M (8-2) on Sunday night. Mitsubishi K. was defeated by Chanson V-M in a tough game on the road 67-72. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-67. The best player for the winners was international swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. International forward Kana Motoyama (180-90) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Mitiko Miyamoto (175-86) added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chanson V-M moved-up to third place. Mitsubishi K. at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Chanson V-M are looking forward to face Denso Iris (#7) in Kariya in the next round. Mitsubishi K. will play at home against Toyota B SR in Aichi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
