Very expected game when 19th ranked Reggio Calabr. (1-6) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Chieti (3-4) 84-66 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Chieti. Reggio Calabr. was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Reggio Calabr. 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (208-82) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized San Marino Andrea Raschi (198-79) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Chieti's coach Domenico Sorgentone used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
