We should mention about the upset which took place in Latina, where higher ranked Casalpusterlengo (3-3) lost to seventeenth ranked Latina Basket (2-5) in a road game 77-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Casalpusterlengo. The game was mostly controlled by Latina Basket. Casalpusterlengo was better in third quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Riccardo Tavernelli (188-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Guard Tommaso Milani (190-88) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Five Latina Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Tommaso Marino (190-86, agency: Interperformances) came up with 24 points and power forward Alberto Chiumenti (204-87, agency: Players Group) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Casalpusterlengo in the defeat. Latina Basket moved-up to sixteenth place. Casalpusterlengo at the other side keeps the ninth position with three games lost. Latina Basket's next round opponent will be higher ranked Firenze (#9) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
