And finally the game worth to mention about is the one where leader Vikies (#8) rolled over bottom-ranked Heat (0-1) in a home game by 25 points 73-48 on Friday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Vikies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Heat to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Vikies forced 20 Heat turnovers. Michael Acheampong fired 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Terrell Evans chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Azi Fahandeg-Sadi (193) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Greet Gill (190) added 7 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vikies (1-0) keep a position of league leader, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Heat still closes the standings with one game lost. Vikies will face again Heat (#8) in Kelowna, BC in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
