Round 8 in Basketligan means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Sundsvall where host Sundsvall Dragons (6-2) beat league's leader Sodertalje Kings (6-2) 62-58 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sodertalje Kings. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 62-58. Sundsvall Dragons forced 20 Sodertalje Kings turnovers.
