No shocking result in a game in Monterrey where ninth ranked Fuerza Regia (10-8) defeated 13th ranked Guerreros (4-15) 87-71 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 16 points. Fuerza Regia shot 21 for 29 from the free-throw line, while Guerreros only scored five points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Center Lance Allred (211-81, college: Weber St., agency: SportsTalent) fired 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. International point guard Steve Monreal (180-86, college: CS Monterey) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Fuerza Regia's coach Dan Tacheny allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
