Very expected game when 10th ranked Doxa Lefkadas (1-4) lost at home to fifth ranked Koroivos (4-1) 68-59 on Saturday. Doxa Lefkadas trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 20-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 59-68 at the end of the game. It was a very good performance for forward Petros Noeas (204-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Athanasios Karydas (182-79) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Five Koroivos players scored in double figures. Forward Vasilis Vagenas (202-80) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian guard Darko Matic (192-84) added 15 points in the effort for Doxa Lefkadas. Koroivos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Doxa Lefkadas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with four games lost. Koroivos will face higher ranked Ermis Lagkada (#3) in Lagadas in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Doxa Lefkadas will play on the road against the league's second-placed Nea Kifisia (#2) in Athens.
