Regular Season Round 6: AZS Koszalin - Kotwica 72-61

Very predictable result when sixth ranked AZS Koszalin (4-2) defeated at home 11th ranked Kotwica (1-5) 72-61. It looked good early as Kotwica took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then AZS Koszalin had a 20-14 second period charge getting the lead and Kotwica was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-72. American power forward Darrell Harris (208-84, college: Rhode Island) notched 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Lukasz Wisniewski (186-84, college: Barton County CC, agency: Promotex) supported him with 15 points. AZS Koszalin's coach Teo Cizmic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points and 7 rebounds by American guard Sean Mosley (193-89, college: Maryland) did not help to save the game for Kotwica. Bosnian power forward Marko Djuric (208-83, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. AZS Koszalin moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Stelmet ZG and Energa Czarni. Kotwica at the other side keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Start Gdynia. AZS Koszalin will play against Stelmet ZG (#4) in Zielona Gora in the next round. Kotwica will play at home against Polpharma (#9) in Starogard and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
