Very expected game in Edmonton, AB where bottom-ranked Bobcats (0-2) were defeated by top-ranked Golden Bears (2-0) 78-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Golden Bears led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Golden Bears outrebounded Bobcats 47-25 including a 37-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international guard Jordan Baker (192-91, college: Utah Valley) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Kenyan guard Kenneth Otieno (188) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Golden Bears players scored in double figures. Kenonte Ramsey produced 23 points and Reggie Smith added 15 points respectively for the guests. Bobcats' coach gave the chance to play for ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Golden Bears maintains first position with 2-0 record, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Bobcats still closes the standings with two games lost. Golden Bears will face Dinos (#4) in Calgary, AB in the next round.
