Bottom-ranked Kyoto Hannar. is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to fourth ranked Shimane Magic (5-2) 70-66 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-10. But Kyoto Hannar. won second period 18-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shimane Magic made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American center Jeral Davis (216-84) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by American-Panamanian forward Leonardo Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego, agency: Top Notch Sports) did not help to save the game for Kyoto Hannar.. American guard Masaharu Kataoka (190-85) added 6 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Shimane Magic maintains fourth position with 5-2 record, which they share with Shinshu BW. Loser Kyoto Hannar. still closes the standings with seven games lost. Shimane Magic will again meet at home Kyoto Hannar. (#10) in the next round where they are favorite.
