There was no surprise when 13th ranked UMKS Kielce (2-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked MOSiR Krosno (5-2) 76-71 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-15. But UMKS Kielce won second period 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when MOSiR Krosno won last quarter 15-12. They also forced 21 UMKS Kielce turnovers. Forward Wojciech Pisarczyk (201-88) fired 22 points for the winners. point guard Kamil Laczynski (180-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Five MOSiR Krosno players scored in double figures. Forward Wojciech Miernik (194-88) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Marcin Wrobel (200-87) added 15 points respectively for lost side. MOSiR Krosno moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. UMKS Kielce lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. MOSiR Krosno will face AZS Kutno (#5) at home in the next round. UMKS Kielce will play against Spojnia (#10) in Stargard and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
