There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked San Salvatore (3-3) edged at home higher ranked Muggia (3-3) 59-57 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 59-57. It was a good game for point guard Anna Lussu (163-85) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Bulgarian forward Roksana Yordanova (184-84) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (182-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and guard Annalisa Borroni (183-83) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Muggia. San Salvatore moved-up to sixth place in North, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Muggia. San Salvatore will face league's second-placed Umana Reyer in Venezia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
