There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Consum.it Siena (0-6) lost on the road to tenth ranked Calabria (2-3) 68-55 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Calabria. Consum.it Siena was better in third quarter 13-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Bosnian center Selma Delibasic (193-80) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Tania Bertan (182-80) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Calabria's coach Vincenzo Porchi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Francesca Fabbri (174-88) replied with 22 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Caterina Bozzi (165-92) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Consum.it Siena. Calabria moved-up to ninth place in South. Loser Consum.it Siena still closes the standings with six games lost. Calabria will face higher ranked Min.Battipaglia (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Consum.it Siena will play against Salerno (#10) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
