Very important is a road loss of third ranked P.Cukier SIDEn (5-2) against sixteenth ranked AZS PP (1-6) on Saturday night. Visiting P.Cukier SIDEn was defeated by AZS PP in Pozoan 73-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of P.Cukier SIDEn. The game was mostly controlled by AZS PP. P.Cukier SIDEn was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Adam Metelski (208-83, college: Cal-Irvine) contributed with 4 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Adam Lisewski (206-80) answered with 9 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Slawomir Sikora (193-86, agency: Promotex) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for P.Cukier SIDEn. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS PP left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with Astoria Bydg. P.Cukier SIDEn at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. AZS PP will play against higher ranked AZS Radex (#13) in Szczecin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. P.Cukier SIDEn will play on the road against Polonia (#9) in Przemysl and hopes to get back on the winning track.
