Regular Season Round 5: Boulazac - Paris-Levallois 71-74

A very interesting game took place in Boulazac. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 11th ranked Boulazac Basket (2-3) to ninth ranked Paris-Levallois (3-2) 74-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Boulazac Basket. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American forward Sean May (206-84, college: N.Carolina) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. International point guard Antoine Diot (191-89) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: George Mason, agency: SportsTalent) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import Amadi McKenzie (201-86, college: Tenn Tech) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Paris-Levallois moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Boulazac Basket dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Paris-Levallois' next round opponent will be Limoges CSP Elite (#11) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Boulazac Basket will play against the league's second-placed Chalon/Saor.
