Very predictable result when second ranked Valencia Basket (5-1) won against 14th ranked Cajasol (1-5) in Sevilla 82-73 on Saturday. Cajasol trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 20-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-82 at the end of the game. It was a good game for Brazilian center Vitor Faverani (211-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Justin Doellman (206-85, college: Xavier) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American-Puerto Rican swingman John Holland (195-88, college: Boston U.) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Cajasol. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia Basket maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader Real Madrid, which they share with Gescrap BB. Loser Cajasol keeps the fourteenth place with five games lost. Valencia Basket will face Caja Laboral (#4) in Vitoria in the next round. Cajasol will play at home against CB Canarias (#18) in Tenerife.
