Date: November 3, 2012
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Gospic and one of their biggest challengers Tresnjevka had identical 2-1 record. This time Gospic used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from 78-45 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Gospic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 24 Tresnjevka turnovers and outrebounded them 48-31 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian guard Martina Dover (177-86) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and international Emanuela Salopek (178-87) who added 12 points during the contest. Four Gospic players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Sara Plavljanin (175-89, college: San Jose St.) responded with 13 points and international center Iva Sliskovic (190-84, college: S.Carolina) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains third position with 3-1 record behind leader Jolly, which they share with Zadar. Newly promoted Tresnjevka dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Gospic will face Studenac Omis (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tresnjevka will play against the league's second-placed Lupa Promotion (#2) in Novi Zagreb.
