No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Toyota A. (6-5) beat 10th ranked Aishin Wings (2-9) in Nagoya 73-64. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aishin Wings won third quarter 23-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Toyota A. won last quarter 22-15. The former international forward Kazumi Suzuki (177-86) fired 26 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. International guard Maya Kawahara (167-87) chipped in 16 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. Power forward Kiyoko Hamaguti (181-90) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and forward Yuka Maeda (173-84) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Aishin Wings' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Toyota A. maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Aishin Wings at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Toyota A.'s next round opponent will be again Aishin Wings (#11) in Anjo which should be theoretically an easy game.
