The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Rosa Radom's (2-4) road loss to sixth ranked Asseco Prok. (4-1) 67-72. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-10. But Rosa Radom won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asseco Prok. forced 25 Rosa Radom turnovers. Strangely Rosa Radom outrebounded Asseco Prok. 42-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Rosa Radom was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) notched 19 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and the former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) supported him with 14 points. Asseco Prok.'s coach Kestutis Kemzura allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 15 points and 5 assists by Serbian guard Nikola Vasojevic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell) did not help to save the game for Rosa Radom. Serbian swingman Slavisa Bogavac (200-80, agency: BeoExcell) added 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Rosa Radom players scored in double figures. Asseco Prok. have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with PGE Turow. Newly promoted Rosa Radom keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Asseco Prok. will play against Energa Czarni (#6) in Slupsk in the next round. Rosa Radom will play at home against the league's leader Trefl Sopot and hopes to get back on the winning track.
