Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Chiba Jets (3-5) defeated on the road 10th ranked Saitama Broncos (1-5) 86-78 on Sunday. Saitama Broncos were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 9-point lead after three quarters before a 33-16 charge of Chiba Jets, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Tanaka Kensuke (187-85) stepped up and scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American swingman D'Andre Bell (198-87, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Court Side) with 31 points and the other American import power forward Randall Orr (207-82, college: Georgia Perimeter) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Saitama Broncos' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chiba Jets moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Saitama Broncos lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. Chiba Jets will have a break next round.
