Another exciting game was between fifth ranked Maccabi T-A and 7th ranked Maccabi Haifa where Maccabi T-A (3-1) crushed Maccabi Haifa (2-2) on the road with 20-point difference 87-67. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. Maccabi Haifa was better in second period 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi T-A forced 19 Maccabi Haifa turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Polish guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Azerbaijani forward Niklas Caner-Medley (203-83, college: Maryland, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A's coach David Blatt allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international center Ido Kozikaro (202-78) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward James Thomas (203-80, college: Texas) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi Haifa. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Maccabi Rishon. Maccabi Haifa at the other side keeps the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Bnei Hasharon. Maccabi T-A will play against Galil Gilboa (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Haifa will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
