Regular Season Round 6: Amsterdam - Den Bosch 63-82
Date: November 4, 2012
Eredivisie top team - Den Bosch (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Amsterdam (0-6) 82-63. The game was mostly controlled by Den Bosch. Amsterdam managed to win fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Den Bosch forced 19 Amsterdam turnovers. International forward Stefan Wessels (203-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) notched 17 points and 5 steals to lead the effort and American guard Dejuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Even 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international guard Aaron Roye (185-88) did not help to save the game for Amsterdam. Forward Jesse Markusse (195-92) added 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Den Bosch have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-0 record. Loser Amsterdam still closes the standings with six games lost. Den Bosch will meet at home Weert (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Amsterdam will play against Den Helder K. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
