Regular Season Round 4: Cagliari CUS - Parma 67-69 OT

Date: November 4, 2012
Important game to mention about took place in Cagliari. Fourth ranked Parma (3-1) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Cagliari CUS (1-2) 69-67 on Sunday evening. Parma forced 22 Cagliari CUS turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of New Zealand-American forward Jillian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Croatian center Sonja Kireta (198-76) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swedish guard Elin Eldebrink (174-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) replied with 18 points and Swedish center Louice Halvarsson (189-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cagliari CUS. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cagliari CUS's coach Federico Xaxa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Parma have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Taranto. Cagliari CUS at the other side keeps the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Chieti. Parma will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cagliari CUS will play on the road against Pall.Pozzuoli (#10) to get more than just one victory in their record.
