Regular Season Round 4: Yunnan - Shanghai 85-71

We should mention about the upset which took place in Qujing, where higher ranked Shanghai Octopus (1-3) lost to tenth ranked Qujing Yunnan (2-2) in a road game 71-85. Shanghai Octopus were ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 45-28 second half run of Qujing Yunnan. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Shanghai Octopus' 34 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American center Lindsay Taylor (203-81, college: UCSB) who scored that evening 29 points and 9 rebounds and forward Betty Cao (180-87) supported her with 22 points. Even a double-double of 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by American swingman Camille Little (188-85, college: N.Carolina) did not help to save the game for Shanghai Octopus. Forward Jing Huang (183-85) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Qujing Yunnan moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bayi and Shanxi. Shanghai Octopus at the other side dropped to the bottom position with three games lost. Qujing Yunnan's next round opponent will be Shanxi (#5) in Taiyuan. Shanghai Octopus will play at home against the league's leader Liaoning Hengye (#1) in Anshan.
