Regular Season Round 4: Hapoel K/S - Hapoel Kazrin 89-83
Date: November 6, 2012
Hapoel Kfar Saba's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Hapoel Kazrin (2-2) 89-83 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 42-25 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Kfar Saba made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by guard Brandon Brooks (188-87, college: Alabama St., agency: Pro One Sports) who scored that evening 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Adam Constantine (206-88, college: Elon) supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Even 24 points and 4 assists by guard Lawrence Westbrook (183-88, college: Minnesota) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Kazrin. Forward Gary Johnson (198-88, college: Texas) added 18 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Kfar Saba (1-3) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Maccabi K/G and Kiryat Tivon. Newly promoted Hapoel Kazrin dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Elitzur Ramla and Hapoel Afula. Hapoel Kfar Saba will meet league's second-placed Ironi Ramat Gan on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hapoel Kazrin will play against Elitzur Ramla (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
