Regular Season Round 9: Nassjo - Eagles 80-71

Nassjo's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after eight consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat White Eagles (3-6) 80-71. White Eagles were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 29-13 third quarter run of Nassjo. They made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Canadian guard Tut Ruach (188-85) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 assists for the winners and Polish center Szymon Lukasiak (208-87, college: Jacksonville) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Serbian center Dragoljub Kitanovic (203-85) with 31 points and 4 assists and Serbian guard Nenad Stefanovic (193-85, agency: Beo Basket) scored 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Newly promoted Nassjo maintains twelfth place with 1-8 record. White Eagles at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Jamtland and Eco Orebro. Nassjo will play against league's leader Sundsvall Dragons on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. White Eagles' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Stockholm 08 Stockholm.
