No shocking result in a game in Dandong where fifth ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (3-1) defeated 8th ranked Heilongjiang Chenneng (1-3) 89-76. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 29-11 run, which allowed them to win the game. Shenyang Golden Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Heilongjiang Chenneng's 52. The winners were led by international forward LiJie Miao (178-81) who scored that evening 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Meng Li (185-95) supported her with 18 points. Shenyang Golden Lions' coach ShuPing Zhan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by the former international guard YanYan Ji (182-85) did not help to save the game for Heilongjiang Chenneng. The former international center JiaCen Liu (193-89) added 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for lost side. Five Shenyang Golden Lions and four Heilongjiang Chenneng players scored in double figures. Shenyang Golden Lions moved-up to second place, which they share with Henan and Zhejiang. Heilongjiang Chenneng at the other side keeps the eighth position with three games lost. Shenyang Golden Lions' next round opponent will be Jiangsu Phoenix (#8) in Yixing where they are favorite. Heilongjiang Chenneng will play at home against Beijing Great Wall and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
