Top ranked Liaoning Hengye (4-0) recorded its 0th loss in Yixing on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (1-3) 73-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Liaoning Hengye. They outrebounded Liaoning Hengye 36-13 including a 21-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Krystal Thomas (195-89, college: Duke) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. Guard Hou Xuehua (183-83) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Jiangsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. The former international forward Xiaoli Chen (193-82) produced 23 points (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and international forward Zengyu Ma (183-84) added 16 points (made all of her eight free throws) respectively for lost side. Despite that victory Jiangsu Phoenix went down to eighth position due to points difference, which they share with 4 other teams. Liaoning Hengye at the other side still keeps top place with 0 game lost. Jiangsu Phoenix is looking forward to face higher ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (#3) in Dandong in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Liaoning Hengye will play on the road against Shanghai Octopus and is hoping to win this game.
