Regular Season Round 4: Mornar Bar - Levski Sofia 84-89
Date: November 7, 2012
Bottom-ranked Montenegrin Mornar Bar is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to top-ranked Bulgarian Levski Sofia (2-0) 89-84. Mornar Bar was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Levski Sofia dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mornar Bar's 36. Worth to mention a great performance of center Nikolay Varbanov (210-85, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and Chavdar Kostov (195-88, agency: Interperformances) who added 19 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Milos Djurisic (194-88, agency: TSS Management) responded with 22 points (made all of his eight free throws) and Serbian forward Lazar Radosavljevic (204-91, agency: Beo Basket) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Levski Sofia maintains second position in Group A with 2-0 record behind leader Galil Gilboa. Mornar Bar at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Levski Sofia will play against Kumanovo 2009 (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mornar Bar will have a break next round.
