Regular Season Round 4: Kumanovo - Djuro Djakovic 83-67

An interesting game for FYR Macedonian Kumanovo 2009 (2-1) which hosted in Kumanovo one of their biggest challengers Croatian Djuro Djakovic (1-3). Third ranked Kumanovo 2009 had an easy win 83-67. Djuro Djakovic trailed 41-39 at halftime, rallying from a 25-12 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Kumanovo 2009 dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Djuro Djakovic's 28. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Ivica Dimcevski (194-89, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Kumanovo 2009 players scored in double figures. Kumanovo 2009's coach Ljubislav Lukovic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Marino Sarlija (207-89) replied with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Denis Toroman (194-82, agency: TSS Management) added 19 points in the effort for Djuro Djakovic. Kumanovo 2009 maintains third position in Group A with 2-1 record behind leader Galil Gilboa. Djuro Djakovic at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Kumanovo 2009 is looking forward to face league's second-placed Levski Sofia at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Djuro Djakovic will play against the league's leader Galil Gilboa and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
