Very expected game in Zgorzelec where 12th ranked Start Gdynia (1-6) was defeated by third ranked PGE Turow (5-1) 66-55 on Thursday. The game without a history. PGE Turow led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for naturalized French forward Aaron Cel (203-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Michal Chylinski (190-86, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 17 points. PGE Turow's coach Miodrag Rajkovic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Bosnian-Israeli center Robert Rothbart (217-86) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) scored 13 points. PGE Turow moved-up to second place. Start Gdynia lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with six games lost. PGE Turow will meet AZS Koszalin (#6) on the road in the next round. Start Gdynia will play against Rosa Radom (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
