Regular Season Round 21: Abejas - Corr.Victoria 90-79

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Correcaminos (7-14) lost to eighth ranked Abejas (12-9) in Guanajuato 79-90. The game was mostly controlled by Abejas. Correcaminos was better in fourth quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was forward Steffphon Pettigrew (195, college: W.Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Roman Andrade (188, college: N.Mexico Highlands) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Abejas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Oklahoma City) who recorded 30 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Myron Allen (182-79, college: Lee JC) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Correcaminos' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Abejas moved-up to seventh place. Correcaminos lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Abejas' next round opponent will be Huracanes (#9) in Tampico. Correcaminos will play on the road against Lechugueros in Leon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
