Regular Season Round 4: UFV - Victoria 69-73

Date: November 9, 2012
An interesting game was played in Abbotsford, BC where Vikies (#3) beat host Cascades (#2) 73-69 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cascades. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of Michael Acheampong who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Terrell Evans who added 19 points during the contest. Four Vikies players scored in double figures. Vikies' coach Craig Beaucamp used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Kyle Grewal (198-88) responded with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and Kevon Parchment scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Vikies have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with UBC. Loser Cascades keep the second place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Vikies will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cascades will play again against the league's second-placed Vikies in Victoria, BC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
