Regular Season Round 4: Lethbridge - Saskatchewan 89-98

There was a minor upset in Lethbridge, AB where much higher ranked Pronghorn (2-1) was defeated by fourth ranked Huskies (2-1) 98-89 on Friday. Huskies dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Pronghorn's 32. Huskies forced 20 Pronghorn turnovers. Forward Matthew Forbes (198) fired 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Ben Baker (191) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Chaz Johnson (183) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and guard Julian Chief-Morris (193-89) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Huskies moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Pronghorn. Huskies will have a break next round. Pronghorn will play again at home against the league's second-placed Huskies in Saskatoon, SK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
