Regular Season Round 6: Kings - Hawks 65-51

There was a change at the NBL leadership position after last games. Round 6 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Wollongong Hawks (5-1). They were defeated by sixth ranked Kings (4-4) 65-51 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Wollongong Hawks. American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Ian Crosswhite (210-82, college: Oregon) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Rhys Martin (193-86, college: Nova SE) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Glen Saville (197-76) scored 9 points. Kings moved-up to fourth place. Wollongong Hawks at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Breakers. Wollongong Hawks will play next round against Cairns Taipans trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kings will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Melbourne Tigers on the road.
