Regular Season Round 4: Queen's - Laurier 64-68

Date: November 9, 2012
Everything could happen in Kingston at the game between two tied teams. Both top-ranked Laurier and one of their biggest challengers Queen's had identical 0-0 record. But Queen's were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Waterloo 68-64 on Friday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a very good performance for forward Doreen Bonsu (168) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Kimberley Yeldon (183) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized British forward Gemma Bullard (177-92) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Liz Boag (160) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Queen's. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Laurier (1-0) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 9 other teams. Loser Queen's still closes the standings with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
