The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Zhejiang Far East as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Liaoning Hengye) loss. Zhejiang Far East defeated 7th ranked Bayi Kylin in Hangzhou 96-80. Zhejiang Far East made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Bayi Kylin turnovers.
