There was no surprise when 12th ranked Biassono (1-6) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Alghero (4-3) 69-60 on Saturday. Alghero forced 19 Biassono turnovers. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian forward Alejandra Chesta (187-82, agency: Players Group) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Marika Zanardi (175-81) helped adding 25 points and 7 steals. At the losing side point guard Giulia Porro (166-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 steals and point guard Silvia Brioschi (168-79) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. Alghero maintains sixth place in North with 4-3 record. Biassono lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost. Alghero will face Broni (#8) in the next round. Biassono will play against Marghera (#5) in Venezia.
