There was a minor upset when higher ranked Spojnia (3-5) was edged on the road by fourteenth ranked UMKS Kielce (3-5) 71-68 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-68. Forward Lukasz Fafara (194-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Artur Busz (194-88) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Hubert Pabian (202-89, agency: Promotex) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Tomasz Stepien (193-86) added 11 points in the effort for Spojnia.
