There was a small surprise in Toronto, ON where sixth ranked Thunderwolves (1-1) smashed 4th placed Blues (1-1) 94-73 on Saturday. Thunderwolves dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Blues' 32. They outrebounded Blues 44-19 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Thunderwolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Dwayne Harvey who scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Egyptian forward Yoosrie Salhia (198-87) chipped in 8 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Arun Kumar (183) produced 19 points and naturalized Greek guard Alex Hill (196-90, college: Cornell) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Thunderwolves left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Blues. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
