Regular Season Round 6: Rapla - Tarvas 95-70

The most important game in the last round took place in Rapla between second ranked BC Rakvere (5-2) and fourth ranked Rapla (4-3) on Saturday night. BC Rakvere was crushed by Rapla on the road 95-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of BC Rakvere. The game was mostly controlled by Rapla. BC Rakvere managed to win fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Rait-Riivo Laane (178-93) who scored 22 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Forward Kristjan Voolaid (201-92) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Five Rapla players scored in double figures. Rapla's coach Indrek Ruut felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American forward Renato Lindmets (200-84, college: Westfield St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Reimo Tamm (185-84) added 19 points respectively. Rapla have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 4-3 record. BC Rakvere at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Rapla are looking forward to face Hito/Johvi (#8) on the road in the next round. BC Rakvere will play against Kalev/Cramo (#5) in Tallinn and is hoping to win this game.
