Argon Uni Girona was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 39-36 second half run of Perfumerias Avenida. The former international swingman Marta Fernandez (178-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. International center Lucila Pascua (195-83) contributed with 5 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Alberto Miranda allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. point guard Noemi Jordana (173-80) answered with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-88, college: Florida St.) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Argon Uni Girona. The victory was the third consecutive win for Perfumerias Avenida. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Burgos and UNB Obenasa. Argon Uni Girona at the other side keeps the fifth position with two games lost. Perfumerias Avenida will play against Cadi ICG S. (#9) in Seu D'urgell in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Argon Uni Girona will play at home against Hondarribia-Irun (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
